The Most Important Decision of Your Life

1- Realize that God loves you

No matter what we've done in our lives, God loves us and wants us to become part of his "family". The Bible says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16 NIV).

2-We are all sinners and our sins have separated us from God

Realize that we can never be good enough. No matter how hard we try, we will fall short of God's desire for us to be holy. The Bible says that "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23 NIV). This sin keeps us away from God but God has a solution to this problem but it meant a great sacrifice had to be given.

3-Jesus, God's son died on the cross for you and me

The Bible tells us that "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8 NIV). This is the good news that Jesus died on the cross for all the wrong things that we have done so that we can be forgiven.

4-Repent of your sin

The Bible tells us that "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9 NIV). The word repent means to regret what you have done and the desire to change your direction in life. Instead of running from God, we can run towards Him.

5-Receive Jesus Christ into your life

Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed or going to church every Sunday. It is having Christ Himself become a part of your life. He wants to walk besides you everyday and wants you to become a part of His family. The Bible says that "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." (John 1:12 NIV).

If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, simply pray this prayer
and mean it in your heart.

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I believe that you died and rose again for my sins. I don't want to sin anymore and I want you to come into my heart and help me to become more like you. I want you to be my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me. Amen.

If you just prayed that prayer and meant it, Jesus Christ is now living in you and wants you to develop an intimate relationship with Him! Your decision to follow Christ means God has forgiven you and that you will spend eternity in heaven. The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 NIV).

To put your faith in action and to develop that relationship, be sure to spend time with God by reading the Bible, praying, going to church, and telling others about Christ. If you would like help to get started, we will be happy to guide you on your new life in Christ. Please  CLICK HERE.
